DAHLONEGA, Ga. -
The North Georgia town of Dahlonega is best-known for its gold. But this weekend, music will bring more than 50,000 people to the historic town square.
takes place April 25th through the 27th in Dahlonega. The fest is a celebration of Southern Appalachian culture, including Bluegrass and folk music, folk dancing, art and storytelling.
Performers this year will include 2012 Telluride Bluegrass Band Competition winner BlueBilly Grit, award-winning songwriter/performer John Lilly, and students from the Georgia Pick & Bow Traditional Music School Program (an after school program for Lumpkin County students).
