What a wonderful weekend!   The Festival opened Friday with the Master Classes and the Live Country Auction. Then, bluegrass jams, oldtime fiddle jams, workshops, and Michael Cleveland and his high-energy band, Flamekeeper on Saturday. We had perfect weather and the handmade crafts were marvelous. The John C. Campbell Folk School's craft demonstrations and morris dancers enthralled big crowds. The Sunday Gospel jam packed the tent as it does each year and was followed later in the day by Jesse McReynolds & The Virginia Boys and the day ended with the The Dixie Bee-Liners.   On the Square we fiddled and picked ten hours each day. Y’all come back next year on April 16-17, 2011 for more of the same.
