Live Country Auction

Friday: One of the most eagerly-awaited events of Bear on the Square weekend each year is the Live Country Auction. The auction takes place in the large Mainstage Tent in Hancock Park on Friday night, the opening night of the festival.

Mainstage events

The featured performers will be in the main stage tent at Hancock Park, one block off the square. The admission to the tent area is $15 each day. This admission allows you to come and go (armbands). Sunday morning will be free. All tickets are sold at the festival. There are no advanced ticket sales. Also, the first rows are reserved VIP seating for $50 per day, contact Dobbin Buck at 404-975-9215.

Mountain Marketplace

Saturday & Sunday: Both bargains and fun can be found at Bear on the Square Mountain Festival’s Mountain Marketplace the third weekend in April on the Public Square in Dahlonega. Smart shoppers will find North Georgia’s finest market of traditional crafts, a remarkable collection featuring one-of-a-kind, handmade items available for purchase directly from some the mountain region’s best artists.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears on the Square will be on the green space by Parks Clothing.

Music on the Square

Musicians start gathering Friday afternoon, acoustic jams are every where on the city square. Bring a chair, find someone playing your favorite music and join in. We do the old fiddle tunes, country and bluegrass. Bring your guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, lap dulcimer, hammered dulcimer, autoharp, mouth harp, jews harp.
