Whitepath has been playing bluegrass and accoustic music in and around North Georgia as well as several festivals and events around the southeast for over 17 years. Starting out as just a group of "Pickin Buddies"at Everett’s Music Barn in Suwannee, Whitepath has evolved into an eclectic blend of very talented individuals.-- Brian Rittenberry, lead vocals; Tim Higgins, fiddle; Jody Hughes, banjo; Darren Ghorley, guitar; Drew Lawson, upright bass; Preston Corn, drums; and Dean Ghorley, mandolin..

Based in Canton, Whitepath, which has appeared on the Mountain Music and Medicine Show from Dahlonega, at the last two Bear on the Square Festivals, and has opened for such bluegrass luminaries as Tony Rice, Mountain Heart, and IIIrd Time Out, includes in each show a variety of traditional bluegrass songs and gospel hymns as well as the progressive "NewGrass" songs and instrumentals that are sure to get you rocking in your seat. By combining the old and the new, Whitepath brings to the stage an memorable presence. With soulful vocals, tight harmony, and their progressive musical style, there is a sound that contrasts the typical bluegrass and accoustic genres. The group’s newest CD, “Live and Let Live”, is filled with long-time bluegrass favorites, rousing instrumental originals, country classics, and soul-stirring gospel.
