The Rosin Sisters PDF Print E-mail

The Rosin Sisters are Barbara Panter-Connah, Ann Whitley-Singleton, and Jan Smith -- sisters at heart who love to play and sing together. They each have been playing traditional music in the Atlanta area and beyond, including appearances in and around Dahlonega, for decades in a number of different bands. They are now in their seventh year of collaboration as The Rosin Sisters.

RosinSistersSQ

While singing with an all-women a capella group known as the Divas, Barbara, Ann, and Jan decided to form The Rosin Sisters to further explore their love of singing and fiddling, especially the rich heritage that comes out of the Appalachian and Southern regions of America. Besides performing around the southeast, they will be on staff for the third time this coming summer to teach harmony singing at the Blue Ridge Old-time Music Week at Mars Hill College in North Carolina. The group’s introductory CD, entitled “Sweet Sunny South," received a stellar review in The Old-Time Herald, and they recently released a second CD called “Walking Through Time’s Door." They will be joined on the Bear on the Square MainStage by legendary harmonica player Whit Connah of Hair of the Dog, as well as world-class mandolin player George Norman.
