Yodeling Workshop
Saturday April 20
4:00 Searcey’s Underground in the Hall Building on the Square

John Lilly is a talented acoustic instrument musician from
Charleston, West Virginia. Besides being a melodious yodeler & multi-instrumentalist,
he is a performing songwriter and interpreter of the American folk tradition.

As one reviewer put it: “He writes new songs that sound as old as
the hills, and sings older songs like they were written yesterday. If
Hank Willliams had a sunny disposition he’d be John Lilly.”

John performed for years with Ralph Blizzard’s New Southern
Ramblers. Specializing in American country, roots & traditional folk
music he was a natural for his job as a tour guide at Nashville’s
Country Music Hall of Fame. He is currently the editor of West
Virginia’s Goldenseal Magazine
